Finance DepartmentThe Finance Department is responsible for budgeting, implementing internal controls, receipt of all funds due the City, and financial reporting. In addition to the duties listed above, the Finance Department is responsible for the billing of Community Service and Sanitation Service Fees. Prior to registering for water service, residents must complete a City Services Information form at City Hall. If a resident relocates to a different address within the City of Maumelle, the resident must call City Hall to request a transfer number, which Maumelle Water Management* needs in order to connect water services at the new location. *Maumelle Water Management is a private company and is located at 90 Lake Pointe Place. The telephone number is (501) 851-3070. Community Service FeeThe City of Maumelle has a Community Service Fee which was implemented to augment the budget of the Police and Fire Departments. Residents are billed $24.00 per quarter ($8.00 per month), and businesses are billed monthly based on square footage under roof. Sanitation ServiceThe Maumelle Public Works Department is responsible for sanitation and recycling collection and disposal. Residents are billed $46.50 per quarter ($15.50 per month plus $1.24 sales tax). This bill includes one city garbage can and once a week pick up. Regular quarterly months billed are; MARCH, JUNE, SEPTEMBER, AND DECEMBER. Additional trash carts are available for $10.50 per quarter plus .84 sales tax. A third or more cart is available for $15.00 per quarter plus$1.20 sales tax. Recycle bins are available at no charge. (newspapers and aluminum can only) . You will need to present papers identifying your pet with shot records. Non spade/neutered fee is $30.00 per pet. For pets that are spade/neutered the fee is $5.00 per pet. The City makes every effort to ensure the correct address of the person being invoiced. Please assist staff members by notifying them of any changes, such as a name change or address change.
