Maumelle Department of Public Works’ mission is to protect and enhance Maumelle’s quality of life through effective environmental and infrastructure management, which includes maintaining 82 miles of streets and 28 miles of walking paths.
The Public Works Department is responsible for maintenance of the City’s infrastructure and for the collection and disposal of residential solid waste, yard waste and recycling. Other duties include the day-to-day operation and supervision of Maumelle Animal Services and Maumelle Transfer Station.
Public Works is comprised of the following divisions: Administration, Fleet Services, Sanitation Collection (Garbage/Recycling/Yard Waste/Transfer Station), Operations (Streets, Sidewalks, Stormwater, City Beautification), and Building Maintenance Services.
